Formtech insulated concrete form reference

This reference covers the Formtech reversible expanded polystyrene insulated concrete form system: the panel, block, corner and cavity web components that make up the form, the assembly sequence used to build a wall with them, and the cross-section detail register. Cavity widths run from 2.5 inches to 20 inches, and every block face covers 5.33 square feet of wall.

Worked procedures

Block count from wall dimensions
1. Multiply the length (A) of all walls
    by the height (B) of all walls.
2. Subtract square footage of all openings (C).
3. Divide the result by 5.3
    (the number of square feet per block).
4. The result is the number of blocks required.

Overage of 2 to 5 percent is recommended;
the formula does not allow for waste.
